🏈 Good Morning, Auburn Family! The Tigers return home this weekend to a 20th consecutive sellout at Jordan-Hare Stadium, ready to keep the momentum rolling after a statement win in Fayetteville. Watch the Cinematic Recap from Game 8 👇

We’ll welcome the Kentucky Wildcats to Jordan-Hare this Saturday with full belief in the direction of the Auburn Tigers program. Our roster, our staff, and our culture are built to handle moments like this—bringing physicality, discipline and a winning mindset every snap. We’re not just ready to compete; we’re ready to win. This is our house, and this is our time.

War Eagle! — Head Coach Hugh Freeze

This week’s theme is “Game of Inches” In 2 Samuel 23:9, we’re reminded of Eleazar, who stood shoulder to shoulder with David when others turned away. That’s what this game and this life, is about. Football, like faith, is a game of inches. Every play, every rep, every moment counts. God is strategically setting each of us up for something greater if we’ll just stay in the fight. Some things won’t make sense, but we’re called to finish anyway. There are no accidents in His plan, only divine appointments. As we take the field against Kentucky, we must be fully present, relentless, and unshakable. When fatigue hits, stand a little longer. When the moment feels too big, push a little farther. Champions aren’t defined by talent alone; they’re defined by the inches they refuse to give up. Let’s stand together, fight together, and finish the game the Auburn way, one inch at a time.

🟠 Road Dub. Auburn defeated Arkansas 33-24 in Fayetteville, holding the Razorbacks to just 63 rushing yards and forcing three turnovers. Quarterback Ashton Daniels made his Auburn debut and led the team on five scoring drives in the second half. Wideouts Cam Coleman and Eric Singleton Jr. both had highlight-reel receptions, and running back Jeremiah Cobb tallied a career-high 153 yards on the ground, earning the highest PFF grade of all SEC running backs.

Linebacker Xavier Atkins had a career day with 13 tackles, 4.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble. Rayshawn Pleasant added two fourth-quarter interceptions, including a 49-yard return that gave Auburn the lead. Kicker Alex McPherson connected on all six field goal attempts, tying both the Auburn and SEC single-game record.

🟠 Tigers In The Spotlight. Multiple Tigers earned national recognition for their performances in Auburn’s road win.

🟠 Catch Of The Year. Cam Coleman made a spectacular one-handed 23-yard touchdown catch that landed on the Sports Center Top-10 plays of the week.

🟠 Defend The Jungle. The Tigers look to keep the momentum rolling, returning home Saturday night to host Kentucky at 6:30pm in Jordan-Hare Stadium’s 20th consecutive sellout.

🟠 Auburn Made – NFL Week 8 Highlights. Tank Bigsby made the most of his opportunity, Jamel Dean continued his turnover streak, and more in this week’s NFL rundown.

  • Tank Bigsby (RB, Philadelphia Eagles) — Bigsby broke out with 104 rushing yards on nine carries, leading all NFL running backs with a 94.7 PFF offensive grade and 92.1 rushing grade.

Jamel Dean (CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers) — Dean matched a season high with six tackles, five solo, and forced his second fumble of the year in the Buccaneers' 23-3 win against the Saints.

Roger McCreary (CB, Los Angeles Rams) — McCreary notched three solo tackles, his first sack of the season, and posted his highest PFF pass rush grade of the season (71.0) for the Titans before being traded to the Rams.

Jamien Sherwood (LB, New York Jets) — Sherwood helped the Jets erase a 15-point deficit with five tackles and a late pass breakup in a 39-38 win over Cincinnati. He ranks second in the NFL in tackles (75).

Braden Smith (OL, Indianapolis Colts) — Smith earned a season-high 78.0 PFF grade in the Colts’ win. He has yet to allow a sack this season.

🟠 Ahead of Schedule. College football’s youngest player, 17-year-old center Kail Ellis, is stepping into the starting center role for Auburn after captain Connor Lew’s season-ending injury. Ellis reclassified to join the Tigers a year early — a decision already paying off as the would-be high school senior anchors the offensive line against SEC competition.

Like Ellis, freshman running back and Auburn native Omar Mabson II joined the Tigers a year early. He scored his first collegiate touchdown against Missouri, creating a lifelong memory, and recorded a career-long 10-yard reception in the first quarter against Arkansas.

“Credit to Coach Freeze. I think he’s done an incredible job since he’s been here with recruiting, building up these last three classes, especially the ’23, ’24 and ’25 classes, I feel like we have some ballplayers.”

🟠 Offensive Line Coach Jake Thornton continues to shape one of Auburn’s most experienced and disciplined units. In his second season on the Plains, Thornton’s group has combined for 313 career games played and 179 starts, ranking top-three in the SEC in both categories.

Thornton brings a proven track record of developing dominant run games and NFL-ready linemen. He has a player-first approach and a commitment to building from the ground up.

“That's why I got into college coaching was to help high school players develop and give them an opportunity to achieve their goals.”

Senior offensive lineman Dillon Wade exemplifies that mindset, bringing leadership, versatility, and toughness to Auburn’s offensive front. Read Wade’s full feature here.

🟠 Lockdown Performance. Rayshawn Pleasant earned a 95.5 defensive grade from PFF for his performance in coverage vs Arkansas — good for best in the country in Week 9. He allowed zero receptions, recorded two interceptions, and scored on a 49-yard pick-six to give Auburn the lead.

🟠 More Accolades Roll In. Xavier Atkins earned PFSN College Defensive Player of the Week honors. He has led or tied for the team lead in tackles in all five SEC games and ranks T-2nd in the league with 49 tackles in league play.
